Buckwheat is not a cereal, but actually a Fruit Seed and is both wheat and gluten free. Buckwheat can be ground into a flour or cooked whole as an alternative to rice. It can be added to pancakes and waffles or made into a porridge.

HOW TO COOK BUCKWHEAT

There are a few ways to cook buckwheat. Like rice Buckwheat can be steamed, boiled or absorbed. Generally it is recommended to roast in a dry pan Buckwheat before cooking.

Once this is done Buckwheat can be boiled and drained, steamed or boiled and absorbed (roughly 1 cup Buckwheat to 2 cups of water (or stock)
